Case / Hafen Dortmund

From dead site to Dark Harbor.

TODO(operator): real case copy + captures

The brief

A harbor-house restaurant with a five-year-old brochure site: slow, unreadable on phones, invisible on search, and silently bleeding reservations to portals. The brief was one line — make the website worth the kitchen.

The rebuild

The rebuild started with the room, not the pixels. Hafen Dortmund is a harbor-house restaurant — low light, dark wood, water outside the glass — and the old site showed none of it. We rebuilt the brand's presence on the MICWEP token contract: a moody carbon base, one molten-to-teal accent system, editorial type that reads like a menu written by someone who cares.

Motion carries the atmosphere. Sections settle like plates being set down; the menu reveals line by line; the reservation call-to-action stays magnetically underfoot without ever begging. Everything runs on transform and opacity, so the site feels expensive on a five-year-old phone.

Twenty-one days after kickoff the flagship shipped: faster, legible, booking-first. Then we stripped the client specifics, kept the tokens, and poured the build into a mold. That mold is the Dark Harbor template.
