Terms
What follows is the shape of a terms page, not a set of terms. The clauses that would bind anybody — liability, governing law, who the contract is even with — have not been written, and nothing here has been read by a lawyer.
The contracting entity, the liability position and the governing law are outstanding. Nothing on this page is enforceable as written and none of it has been read by a lawyer.
Each outstanding fact is marked below. This notice is configuration rather than copy: it is driven by NEXT_PUBLIC_LEGAL_REVIEWED, and npm run legalcheck reads the served page and refuses when the two disagree. Removing this markup by hand does not clear the review.
What this site is
A website template. The restaurant it describes is fictional and is labelled as fictional on the front page, in the footer and on About. No offer is made and no contract is formed by using it.
Reservations
The reservation form does not create a booking. Its handler is inert and says so when you submit it; no table is held, no confirmation is sent, and nothing you type is transmitted or stored.
Once a real booking system is connected, the terms that go with it — cancellation, deposits, no-shows — belong on Refunds and cancellations, which is also unwritten.
Menu, prices and availability
The menu is written as demonstration copy. Its figures are printed without a currency symbol precisely so that no one can read them as a price list; they are there to show how a menu sets, not what anything costs. Dishes, courses and availability are equally invented.
Intellectual property
The design, the code and the copy of this template belong to its author. Two components have their own terms, and both are recorded rather than summarised here, so that the record stays the thing worth reading:
- The photography was generated for this direction and is licensed for commercial use. The per-file provenance — model, licence and licence URL for each of the twelve frames — is in
public/assets/credits.jsonand summarised inIMAGE-LICENSES.md. - The three typefaces are Bodoni Moda, Archivo and IBM Plex Mono, all under the SIL Open Font License.
What a purchaser of the template may do with it is a commercial term and is not stated here, because it is not this page’s to invent.
Liability, law and jurisdiction
Not drafted. A limitation of liability and a governing-law clause are the two clauses on a terms page that actually do something, and both depend on where the business is established and where it trades. Both are marked below.
