Refunds

No refund or cancellation policy has been set for this template. Nothing on this page is a commitment, and there is deliberately no example policy here to be mistaken for one.

DRAFT — pending legal review

There is no cancellation window, no deposit, no charge and no refund route on this page, because none has been decided. A plausible-looking policy would be worse than an obviously unfinished one — a customer would rely on it.

Each outstanding fact is marked below. This notice is configuration rather than copy: it is driven by NEXT_PUBLIC_LEGAL_REVIEWED, and npm run legalcheck reads the served page and refuses when the two disagree. Removing this markup by hand does not clear the review.

There is no policy yet

A cancellation window, a deposit and a no-show charge are business decisions with money attached. This template does not have them, and it would be trivial to write a set that looks right — which is exactly why it does not. A policy that reads as finished cannot be told apart from one that was decided, and the person who finds out is a customer who relied on it.

Nothing is currently being sold through this site in any case: the reservation form does not create a booking and takes no payment, and the contact form has no destination. There is nothing yet to refund.

The decisions that are outstanding

Nine of them. The last is not a choice — it is whatever the operator’s jurisdiction refuses to let a policy exclude, and it caps every line above it.

Cancellation window
TODO(operator) — how long before a sitting a booking can be cancelled
Deposit
TODO(operator) — whether a deposit is taken, how much, and when
Late cancellation and no-show
TODO(operator) — what is charged, if anything, and on what authority
Large parties and set menus
TODO(operator) — the terms that differ for group and set-menu bookings
How to cancel
TODO(operator) — the route a cancellation is made through and its cut-off
How a refund is issued
TODO(operator) — the method a refund is returned by
Refund timeframe
TODO(operator) — how long a refund actually takes to arrive
Vouchers and gifts
TODO(operator) — whether prepaid vouchers are refundable, and their expiry
Statutory rights
TODO(operator) — the consumer rights that cannot be excluded in this jurisdiction

If you need to ask

Once the policy exists it will name a route for cancelling and for asking about a refund. Until then, the channels on Contact are outstanding too, and that page says so rather than printing an address that reaches nobody.
