03The week

Cut Tuesday. In water by six.

Three steps, and none of them involve a warehouse. This is the whole reason a dated list is possible.

Step 01: Cut Tuesday

The growers cut on Monday night and Tuesday morning. What comes off the field is what goes on the list — we do not order to a plan and then find the flowers to match it.

Step 02: In water by six

Stems are stripped, re-cut under water and stood in the cold room overnight. A conditioned stem lasts about twice as long as one that went straight into a wrap.

Step 03: Made the morning it goes

Nothing is built in advance. Your arrangement is made on the day it leaves the workroom, from the list you can read above.

05The workroom

A cold room, a bench, and whatever the growers cut on Monday.

There is no cold-chain warehouse behind this and no standing order with a wholesaler. Two growers, one van on a Tuesday, and a bench that is empty again by Saturday afternoon.

It is the reason the list is short, and the reason it is accurate.

06Standing orders

Same day, every week

A standing order is the honest version of a subscription: you tell us the size and the day, and you get whatever is best on the list that week. No two deliveries are the same, and that is the point.
