Physiotherapy · concept cast
Rehab, measured in what you can do again.
We do not sell blocks of six. We take one thing you cannot do at the moment, measure it, load it, and hand it back — and then we stop seeing you.
- stairs without the rail
- a full shift on your feet
- the bar off the floor
01 / Returns
What returns
Illustrative figures from a fictional case. GAITWORKS publishes no outcome statistics.
Twelve stairs, no rail
A domestic staircase asks for roughly 90° of knee flexion. Under that, the rail is doing the work and the knee is not.

- Was · Knee flexion, seated
- 62°
- Now
- 118°
A full shift on your feet
Counted, not estimated. The number that matters is the one at which the day stops, so that is the one we load against.

- Was · Steps before pain
- 1,400
- Now
- 8,600
The bar off the floor
A hinge you will not attempt is a hinge you have lost. Load returns it in increments small enough to be boring.

- Was · Hinge load
- 0 kg
- Now
- 40 kg
Every row is a capability, not a package. There is no menu of sessions on this site, and there is no block of six to buy.
How it runs
Four stages, in order, with a rule between them.
02 / Method
01
Assess
One hour, most of it measuring. Range, load tolerance, and the thing you actually came in about — written down as numbers, so there is something to check against later.
02
Load
The tissue is asked for slightly more than it currently gives, at a dose you can repeat. Most of that happens at home rather than here, which is the point.
03
Progress
Either the numbers move or the plan does. Re-measured against the first sheet, not against how the week felt.
04
Discharge
What finished looks like is agreed at the start. Then we go there, and the ledger closes.
Discharge is the product. We are trying to stop seeing you.
03 / Room
The room
Two treatment rooms, a strip of floor, and enough equipment to load a person properly — bands, a plinth, a rack, a roll of tape. North light, no mirrors, no music. Nothing in here photographs better than it works.
You will spend more of the hour being measured than being treated, and most of the actual work happens somewhere else entirely.

04 / Session
One hour
The structure of a first appointment, minute by minute. It describes an hour, not an outcome.
00:00
You arrive and we measure. Nothing is treated in the first ten minutes, which surprises people.
00:10
Range and load tested against the other side, in degrees, and written on the sheet that every later session is checked against.

00:25
The work itself. Loaded, specific, and at a dose you could repeat on Thursday without dreading it.
00:45
You are taught the home version and watched doing it, because the version you do alone is the one that counts.

00:55
The sheet is updated in front of you and you leave knowing what should change before next time.
05 / Terms
How it works
Assessment
One hour. Measurement, a plan you can read, and the sheet that every later session is checked against.
Fee · TBD
Block of work
Agreed in advance as a set number of sessions against a stated target, rather than an open-ended course that renews by default.
Fee · TBD
Discharge review
One appointment after you have stopped coming, to confirm the ledger closed and stayed closed.
Fee · TBD
Fees are set per assessment. This is a demonstration brand and publishes none.
06 / Enquire
Start with an assessment
One hour, mostly measurement. Tell us the thing you cannot do and we will start there rather than with a package.
07 / Colophon
Colophon
GAITWORKS is a fictional brand, built as a demonstration template. It treats no patients, employs no clinicians and holds no registration. Nothing on this page is a claim about a real practice.
There are no testimonials, patient counts, success rates, awards or accreditations on this site, because there is nothing real to report. The figures in the ledger are illustrative and labelled as such where they appear. Fees read TBD.
The photographs are of anonymous bodies in motion. None of them is captioned as a member of staff: a stock portrait presented as “our physiotherapist” would fabricate an identity and a relationship that does not exist.
